“Celestial Heights” is the name given to the house on the property that was originally built by Mr and Mrs John and Lorna Power. They had travelled extensively around the globe before settling here in Montville. They worked hard in the early days planting and nurturing hundreds of macadamia nut trees on the thirty acre property. Side by side, they laboured with unswerving determination to create a home worthy of the name “Celestial Heights”. They were community minded people and they loved nature, people and animals. Over the years many people have revisited this property and each one has recalled stories that illustrate memorable moments that have taken their breath away when they used to stay here. The common thread shared in their memories were described as having feelings of being valued, feeling welcomed, a sense of coming home, relaxing and feeling close to nature.
Montville Village ~
The weather is superb, with slightly cooler temperatures than the coast and far less humidity. You are in the heart of Montville with its quaint village charm, diverse architecture, stylish shops and eateries, art galleries and wineries. It is truly a beautiful tourist “mecca” perched on the ridge of the Blackall Range with the most amazing views from Redcliffe to Noosa and beyond. Jump in your car and discover even more. Just minutes away you can discover the popular Baroon Pocket Dam, Kondalilla Falls NP, Mapleton Falls NP and Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve as is the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk which starts at Lake Baroon and winds through the national parks to Mapleton.
But wait there’s more! The rainforest walks through Mary Cairncross Park, and view the breathtaking beauty of the Glasshouse Mountains. The charming green vistas across the top of the range greet you as you travel across the mountains to the villages of Maleny and Kenilworth. All in all, it is one of Queensland’s premium destinations.
